Sacred Summer Solstice Celebration

We are moving towards the Summer Solstice. A time of connection, abundance and completion. Come and join us for a radiant Summer Solstice.

About this Event

You are warmly welcome to come and celebrate the fullness of our creative power for this Summer Solstice on 20th and 21st June.Come and join this beautiful community, we’re offering a range of exciting workshops and sessions over the course of the weekend on Facebook live and Zoom, with the Summer Solstice theme of Unity and connection. Facilitated by the Ouse Valley community and beyond, our intention is to connect to the land and to each other through our hearts - creating beautiful sacred ceremony with our wishes, prayers and blessings for 2020.

From Glennie Kindred:The Summer Solstice is the peak of our expressive and expansive selves. Let’s celebrate what we have achieved and manifested so far this year. It’s is a time for the enjoyment of all that we have and celebrate our own uniqueness. We can use this special day to focus and charge with healing and positive intent all we wish to be. In ceremony, we add the strength and the power of the Sun to enhance and activate those wishes. Abandon yourself to the expressive arts and joy. Celebrate the death and rebirth of the great cycle of the year. As the power of the outer realms wane, the power of the inner realms expand and we are made whole once again.Summer Solstice, like Winter Solstice, is a time for gathering together with like-minded people. Many people go to the stone circles on Midsummer’s eve to watch the solstice sunrise. This is an opportunity to meet and be with fellow kindred spirits.

In all of nature, the rampant growth period of the year has reached it’s peak. The trees are in full leaf and blossom, herbs and flowers are flourishing. There begins to be an abundance of vegetables and the fruit and grain are ripening. Everywhere, there is a sense of completeness and abundance.By the end of this weekend, you will have had plenty of time and space to experience a deeper and more profound spiritual connection, sharing sacred space and ceremony with other like minded souls. You can improve your everyday spiritual practice, through some of these beautiful offerings. As a circle, we share our skills and dreams in a safe, interactive sacred space. Drawing on the energy of this beautiful land, the rivers and the oceans, we can easily connect with the wisdom of the ancestors, to the cosmos and to each other.

Moving Mandala : A Wild, Creative and Therapeutic Retreat

The Moving Mandala Creative Retreat for Earth, Peace and Transformation.

This is a superb opportunity to go within and connect deeply to the earth, working with goddess archetypes, the chakras and taking the time we need to listen to the earth singing.

Let us step away to dream, weaving the wisdom of the earth with our bodies and a deep creative process. We are honouring our own unique soul's journey. Our work will culminate in a moving meditation or dance for the land, connecting to our descent into the darkness of winter and preparation for the winter solstice.

We will sing, dance, meditate, make art and food together - tuning into our chakras and Mother Earth.

We will connect to ourselves through creative practice inspired by nature and it’s seasons, and elements.

This retreat offers a selection of creative, experiential and shamanic exercises, including meditation, creative visualisation, dance, singing, painting exercises, felting, form drawing, pastel work, writing exercises and clay.

This will be a nourishing and creative weekend, working in healing indoor space and in outside locations in East Sussex where appropriate. This time of year holds a powerful container for personal and community energies to be embraced.

This retreat is informed by the shamanic medicine of the Q’ero tribe in the High Andes and the Moving Mandala Programme.

  • We are extremely honoured to have with us Nancy Dancing Light who created this beautiful shamanic work to be shared around the world. All facilitators are fascinated by each person’s unique process and courage to welcome transformation, self-development and improvement. All have completed a Teacher Training in the Moving Mandala

The core shamanic tools that we will be working with are: working as a circle, hucha (heaviness) release and calling in sami (light) to replace this, sand paintings, shamanic journeying, dreaming our world into being and a deep connection to nature.

This workshop can help with : navigating a deep transition, coping with a physical ailment, developing confidence and wellness.

Your very own drum is a special friend who will heal you, take you on breath-taking journeys and share with you a connection and oneness with all. To birth your own drum is a truly rewarding experience; putting your love, intent and energy into this powerful medicine tool will make a truly special drum for you indeed.

Medicine Wheel Training, 1 Year Course, 2019 - 2020

THE MEDICINE WHEEL 2019-20

Held over four separate weekends over one year, the Medicine Wheel is an initiation process handed down from the High Andes and the Q’ero nation that helps us to honour ourselves, as well as our friends, our families and our communities with all the light available to us. It is a beautiful and powerful journey around the four cardinal directions with the archetypes. This course honours our right as human beings to speak, write, hear and know the truth of our becoming. It will help us to see that death (or a transition) is an opportunity to grow on every level. This organizing principle helps us to see clearly through the darkness to find our way step by step as we listen to ourselves and to our unseen guides. We will help you to set your intention to clear all limiting behaviours and self-beliefs that hold you back from walking with beauty.

You will create a medicine bundle or Mesa of stones that you will be able to use on your journey to discover your hidden treasure, your true self.

Core tools we will be working with around the wheel will be: working as a circle, hucha (heaviness) release and calling in sami (light) to replace this, sand paintings, fire ceremony, shamanic journeying, experiential and creative exercises, dreaming our world into being, energetic tracking skills, a deep connection to Nature, Munay Ki rites, mini death rites.

TESTIMONIALS.

In structuring and running the Medicine Wheel sessions together, Ali and Marc achieve something extraordinary. They bring to the work a composed and assured authenticity, and a non-judgemental open-heartedness, that gently creates a space that is safe, yet filled with infinite potential. It’s a space that almost imperceptibly invites and entices everyone who joins the circle to embrace the Mythic, and to thereby experience the power of deep transformation which is available to us all, but with which we are normally so rarely able to engage.

Go through village past Post Office and then left at the first crossroads into Park Lane. Carry on for c.1 mile past the small industrial estate (if it is on your right) and wooden house on left. Go past the Estate and head up Park Lane for further 1/2 mile to a metal gate-barrier on the right. You’ll see a parking area, some concrete blocks and single lane track off on the right. You'll see Full Moon directions here. The gate will be unlocked though it will look closed. This is Vert Lane. Open the gate and make sure you pull the gate closed behind you.

Drive slowly up the track past 2 gates on the right to a third gate and a chip stack. Park here by reversing carefully in close to other vehicles. Don't go straying off on slopes - you might get stuck.. Walk through third gate (directions again) and south down the track. Walk down to the crossroads. Go straight ahead and you’ll see a wooden sticks signpost on the right marking the path to the main camp area. There will be lights showing the way. It's a 10 mins walk and be careful as it will be a little slippy in places.

We will be sharing energy exercises that help us to stay strong and powerful.

When we can share our individual gifts and talents, our community is blessed and filled with wellbeing, harmony and balance.

The intention will be to journey to the upper, lower and middle worlds for guidance.

We will also be working with the archetypal energies of serpent, jaguar, eagle and hummingbird and working with the question 'How can we bring shamanic practice into our daily life’?

Despacho Ceremony

Come and celebrate the Spring Equinox by setting your intention in this beautiful Q’ero practice from the Andes in Peru.

What ideas or projects do you want to fertilise with the power of your life force?

A despacho is the ancient Andean practice of creating a celebratory ceremony to the mountains (the Apu’s), Mother Earth (Pachamamma) and other nature spirits in reciprocity, reverence and thanksgiving.

We will be blowing in prayers for ourselves, or family and friends and any wider communities or projects you may have.

It brings us into alignment with our personal intent, our group intent and immense gratitude for the earth.

The despacho ceremony will be offered by shamanic practitioner Ali Rabjohns, helping us dream a new world into being for our children’s children.

If possible, the despacho will be burnt on site.
